wow, having just come from runninmama.blogspot, i am loathe to post. there will be no comparing anything i could write here to the beautiful prose to which i was just treated. and yet, you cant stop the presses, and so here is an account in advance of my day.
currently the jules is alternately nursing and sleeping on me. luckily, i have freed my arm from under her head, making the posting of this blog considerably easier.
following this portion of the program, we will get dressed and drive down to 50 park row west where i will "get my training in" (training for what, you ask? that's just it...no one really knows! you're right; perhaps 'get my training in' is an odd choice of phrase), and julia will spend some time with her da. my workout, of course, will be on the level of those which elicit such poorly concealed scorn from our friend oncearunner. i am nevertheless proud of myself for making the modest effort.
following the vigorous if short-lived stint on the elliptical and the subsequent pilates, julia and i will head over to kohl's. while im not the world's biggest kohls fan, we have a $30 coupon there that requires no minimum purchase, and i am a fan of free money. ill probably buy more stuff for my little lady, but it might be wise to add to my tripartite collection of nice shirts that fit me.
sadly, post-kohl's, we are planless. mark has a morgan stanley dinner tonight. hurrah for him, boo for julia and me! not to mention, katie is setting off across the country dean moriarty style, so she won't be available to skype my solitude away.
before concluding, we cant forget to include a gripe of mine. after all, that is the purported purpose of the 130 diner! today, i lament the tendency of dogs to be interested in the nastiest of things. seriously, why does a dog want to eat underwear? what possesses them? aren't they embarrassed? bowski sometimes throws up while i'm nursing julia. when i get up to clean it up, it's not there, because he has eaten it back up. could you imagine!
