ironically, that wasnt even ironic!

it's one thing when peeps keep their language simple and uncomplicated- i like that actually. good people. the problem develops when they start to try and tackle phrases that they know not of.
today, the specific word that vexes me is "ironically". "ironic" means "contrary to plan"...such as, "ironically, bobby lost money even though he planned the financial plan".
some people just use it in a sentence because they think it makes the sentence sound better. "ironically," they say, "i wanted a sandwich for lunch.". or, "ironically, i like pickles." ummm these things are NOT ironic.

ironically, this sentence is not ironical.
